Fall Yard Shape Up...

Before:

Plants overgrown after Summer Monsoons in need of pruning.

Weeds, Weeds, Weeds

After:

Looking Good

Plants have a lot more space.

A Panoramic View

The weather here in the Sonoran Desert has been just beautiful. Temperatures have been in the high seventies/low eighties and we have really been enjoying taking advantage of our large yard. We also cleaned up the backyard and the kids have been playing outside non-stop.  It is great to have such a moderate fall after our warm summer.

It's Tackle it Tuesday, projects tackled here.

I had to check your profile, from your pictures I could have sworn you lived in New Mexico. But I see Arizona now. :) Your yard is beautiful. I've always wanted to xeroscape ours but it hasn't happened yet. I'm hoping to at least do sections of it.

The Mexican Sage is gorgeous. I just had to cut mine all to the ground. The hot dry winds whipped them around until they beat themselves to death.

Nice pictures.

Place looks good and the pictures remind me of why I detest the So Cal marine layer with it's gloomy mornings and hazy afternoon sunshine. Fortunately, we've had a six week run of gorgeous fall weather, clear and warm, now clear and cool.

Your yard and home are beautiful, Laura.

Back when I was growing up in Phoenix, it was popular to attempt to grow an 'all-American' yard, meaning grass and hedges, etc. which meant extensive watering if the grass was to be green, or brown 'lawn' if water was being conserved.

Your natural landscaping is so much more beautiful.

Wow, that looks AMAZING. Living in the midwest just is so pale in comparison to that!!
